Update: A very concerned employee followed up with me and she was able to find my Dad's DNR in less than an hour! She was very pleasant and friendly, and even met me at the office off the clock to get the DNR from the office for me. That says a lot about her and it says a lot for the other employees that never followed up with me over the phone or any other way. Kudos to her (Heaven Leigh Douglas)!! You rock!! AMR has transported my dad 2 round trips in the last 2 weeks. The first time was when they picked up my dad to take him to a Hospice Unit for Symptom Management. They took his entire sheet set from his bed at home and promised to tell the Hospice Unit to make sure we got them back. Did they? Of course not. I knew they wouldn't because they've promised us similar things in the past. The only thing we got back was 1 bed pad. The Hospice Unit ended up giving us some of their draw sheets and pads to try and compensate for AMR's mistake. The second time was when they picked him up to take him back to Hospice for a Respite Stay. They INSISTED they had to have Dad's original DNR because they could not take a copy of his DNR ( but the previous trip above, they took the copy). I knew the first time I had to hand that over it would get lost. So, what happened? They lost it. It was never even given to the Hospice Unit when they arrived with my dad. So, now we have to get another DNR done and his health just keeps declining. I guarantee they won't ever get the original again!! When they brought him home yesterday, I realized his DNR wasn't with him, I called the Hospice Unit and they said it wasn't given to them by the ambulance guys. I called AMR and was told by Bobbi that she would call me back "in a few minutes". It is obviously the next day and I am still waiting to hear back from her. Again, I guarantee they won't ever get the original again!!

Still open in Louisville and Lexington, no longer at 1500 Bull Lea Rd. Their website is incorrect. Phone number on their website still works.
